Inside a Stunning Frodsham Kitchen Renovation: A Lugano Transformation by Collins Kitchens
At Collins Kitchens, every project has its own story — from the first design conversation to the final reveal. One standout example is our Lugano kitchen renovation in Frodsham, where a dated layout was replaced with a modern, functional, and beautifully finished kitchen that truly suits the way the homeowner lives.
In this blog, we’re taking you behind the scenes of this transformation, highlighting design choices, style elements, and what makes bespoke kitchens such a valuable investment for Cheshire homes.
The Challenge: Making Space More Functional
When our client first approached us, the room had a traditional kitchen table that limited workspace and interrupted the flow of the kitchen. What she really wanted was:
✨ A more open layout
✨ Additional worktop space
✨ A modern island for cooking and socialising
That’s where the Lugano range came in — chosen for its sleek painted finish and adaptability to custom designs.

Design Highlights: Style Meets Practicality
Here’s what made this renovation exceptional:
🏝 A Bespoke Island Centrepiece
Removing the old table allowed us to design a custom island, giving the kitchen:
✔ More worktop space
✔ A social hub for family and guests
✔ Additional storage tailored to the space
Islands aren’t just a trend — they transform how a kitchen feels and functions.
🪵 Premium Materials for Everyday Use
We used a combination of quality materials to ensure the kitchen is both stylish and durable:
Stone/quartz worktops — tough, elegant, and easy to maintain
Ceramic sink — timeless and practical
Stylish splashback — adds character and a modern finish
LVT flooring — comfortable underfoot and hardwearing in high-traffic areas
These choices make a real difference in day-to-day life and help future-proof the space.
Seamless Installation and Stress-Free Experience
One of the highlights of this project was the smooth installation process. We provided:
✔ Full rip-out of the old kitchen
✔ New electrics and gas run for the hob
✔ Plaster patching and jointing
✔ Complete installation of cabinetry and quartz worktops
✔ LVT flooring installation
Our team coordinated all trades and worked efficiently — so much so that the homeowner went on holiday on day one and returned to a completely finished kitchen!
That’s the kind of stress-free transformation we aim for on every project.
What the Homeowner Loved Most
In her own words, the customer was thrilled with:
⭐ Excellent communication
⭐ The smooth installation process
⭐ The final look and feel of her kitchen
She particularly highlighted how easy and well-organised the whole experience was — one of the reasons we’re proud to be trusted by homeowners across Cheshire.
